Last Bullet

Oh won't you leave that side door open
I've been on this road so long
I want to know I got some place I still belong and
that you ain't moving on
If you will leave that downstairs light on
I promise not to come undone
shot my last bullet somewhere on the run and
I could not reload my gun

Just Like That

If you're gonna dance for war
You're gonna dance for sure
And if you're gonna dance for peace
You will never cease
And if you're gonna dance for war
You're gonna dance for sure
But if you're gonna dance for peace
Dance just like this
Just like —
Just like that
Just like that
Together we lie
In this city of broken walls
Pie tins and power lines
We'll live to dance again

My pillow leans on the window sill.
Autumn frost on the window still.
And i'm not ready to go (yet).
I turn the lights out, but lie awake for hours.
Street lamps cast shadows across my bed.
I trace them with a finger and look down at Sam.
Good for you, I whisper.
I'm not ready to go.
(This whiskey in my hand)
I'm not ready to go.
(Always time in the cracks to kill)

In the morning when she gets up
I like to roll over,
bury my face in her pillow,
my self in her sheets,
and this will not work well if she leaves before I

Jolene asks for a story as they lie in bed, but Jenny can't think of anything, so she mentions the possibility of a butterfly named George Wilma Henry Algelina Phillips the Third. And Jolene thinks maybe it's a giant butterfly to hold all those names, or a walrus disguised as a butterfly. And Jenny says it is, and it puts on the wings at night to go out on the town with other butterfly walruses like itself.
